Adipurush: Delhi HC issues legal notice to producer, Prabhas, Kriti, Saif Ali Khan
New Delhi: ‘Adipurush’ teaser was released on October 2 in Ayodhya. Since then, the film has been surrounded by controversies. Netizens are criticising that the film has been made to mock the characters of Rama and Ravanasura.
The priest of Ayodhya Ram temple also wants that the film should not to be released. As the controversies continue, the Delhi High Court recently gave a shock to the film unit. A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court stating that this movie hurts the sentiments of Hindus.
Advocate Ashish Roy filed a petition seeking action against the film team, including producer Bhushan Kumar, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. He appealed to the court to stop the release of the movie. Due to this, the Delhi High Court issued a legal notice to the movie unit.
In ‘Adipurush’, Prabhas played the role of Lord Rao, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Ravanasura aka Lankesh. Directed by Om Raut the movie is based on Ramayana. Made with a huge budget of Rs 500 crore. The film will release next year as a Sankranti gift. In this background, the makers have started promotions. But with the court notice, the film landed in a trouble.
