Anand Mahindra‘s Doordarshan cricket video makes netizens nostalgic

Mumbai: Before the advent of smart TVs and satellite channels, there was a huge craze for live cricket matches broadcast on Doordarshan. People used to go crazy watching the matches live. In fact, after radio commentary and TV, it is the only way for cricket buffs to watch cricket.

However, in the old days, a video about cricket on Doordarshan is being circulated on social media. A video about reminding the difficulties of antenna, current, and picture quality of those days is causing the laughter on social media.

Industrialist Anand Mahindra recently shared this video on his Twitter handle. He tweeted asking netizens to add a nice music track to this video. “Social media is buzzing with netizens' comments on this video reminiscing their childhood memories. The antenna is not the only one, sir! In those days most homes had black and white TVs. So picture tube problems are also very common,” says one of the netizens.
