New Delhi: YS Sunitha, daughter of the late YS Vivekananda Reddy, expressed her dissatisfaction with the delay in the investigation of her father's murder case. She made sensational comments stating that YS Avinash Reddy deserves punishment in this case. She mentioned that it's not easy to suspect one's own people, which is why she had no suspicions on Jagan when she met him after the murder. She noted that her understanding of the situation evolved over time. Sunitha questioned why the CBI has not interrogated YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy and stated that he should also be investigated. She called for an investigation into Jagan's role in the murder as well.
Sunitha raised concerns about the message it sends to the public if the perpetrators behind Vivekananda's murder are not brought to justice. She stressed that punishments are necessary to stop such crimes. Mentioning that there are 11 cases against Jagan, she expressed her fear that Vivekananda's murder case might end up being overlooked like those cases.
She feared that if YSRCP comes back to power, justice for her father will not be served and that the difficulties will only increase if Jagan becomes the Chief Minister again. Sunitha insisted on justice for her father's murder, indicating the involvement of Avinash Reddy and Bhaskar Reddy, and reiterated that Avinash Reddy must be punished.
Sunitha revealed that she had approached Jagan, suggesting that the case should be handed over to the CBI, but Jagan mentioned that Avinash would join BJP if the case went to the CBI. Consequently, she decided to file a complaint with the CBI herself. After approaching the CBI, she and her husband faced increased harassment. She demanded that the CBI investigate all suspects, including her and her husband, as they too were interrogated as suspects. She emphasized that everyone involved should be thoroughly investigated.
