Amaravati: It is well known that Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Jana Sena Party, is contesting from the Pithapuram Assembly constituency. Immediately after Pawan announced his candidacy from Pithapuram, film director Ram Gopal Varma responded on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, claiming that he too was contesting from Pithapuram. "Sudden decision. Happy to inform. I am contesting from Pithapuram," he tweeted, creating a sensation in Andhra Pradesh.
However, RGV recently tweeted that he is not actually contesting from Pithapuram and mentioned that his earlier tweet was misunderstood. He explained that his statement was in reference to a short film he had made in Pithapuram, not about contesting in an election. He clarified that he never used the word "election" and accused the media of speculating based on his tweet. Asserting that he is not responsible for the miscommunication, he stated that he would not apologize.
