AP Approves Ticket Price Hike for ‘Pushpa 2’; Allu Arjun Thanks the CM and Dy CM

Pushpa 2: The Rule, the much-awaited sequel starring Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar, is set to hit theaters on December 5, 2024. The film has already garnered significant buzz, with the promotional campaigns in full swing. On December 2, a grand pre-release event was held in Hyderabad, with noted filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli attending as the chief guest. The event drew a massive crowd of fans eagerly awaiting the film's release.

Government Approves Ticket Price Hike in Andhra Pradesh
Following Telangana's approval for ticket price hikes and benefit shows, the Andhra Pradesh government has also issued orders allowing increased ticket prices for Pushpa 2. Across the state, theaters can implement higher ticket rates during the initial run of the movie.

Special benefit shows scheduled for December 4 at 9:30 PM and midnight (1:00 AM) are approved, with ticket prices for these shows set at ₹800 (plus GST) across both multiplexes and single-screen theaters.

On the release day, December 5, six shows have been permitted, providing fans with extended opportunities to watch the movie.

From December 5 to 17, the government has sanctioned the following ticket price adjustments:

Multiplexes: A maximum hike of ₹200 (inclusive of GST).
Single Screens:
Lower Class: Up to ₹100 (inclusive of GST).
Upper Class: Up to ₹150 (inclusive of GST).

During this period, theaters are also permitted to screen up to five shows per day.

Allu Arjun Expresses Gratitude
Allu Arjun took to social media to thank the Andhra Pradesh government for its support. In a tweet, he expressed appreciation, stating that this decision highlights the government’s commitment to the growth of the Telugu film industry. He extended special thanks to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his encouragement and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for their support of the industry.
