BRS senior MLA Harish Rao issued a warning to the police, stating that if they act on the instructions of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, they will face consequences in the future. He emphasized that the police should operate in accordance with the Constitution and the law, instead of aligning with political interests. Rao cautioned against assuming the Congress government is permanent.

After being released from Gachibowli Police Station at 8 PM, Harish Rao spoke to the media, criticizing Revanth Reddy's governance as reminiscent of the Emergency under Indira Gandhi. He mocked the so-called "change" promised by Revanth and Congress leaders, claiming it consisted of detentions, illegal arrests, and constitutional violations. He alleged that police stations had effectively turned into Congress party offices, where FIRs are prepared under the directives from Gandhi Bhavan rather than in police stations.

Rao claimed that Gandhi Bhavan dictates who should be arrested and which sections should be applied against individuals, accusing the Chief Minister of holding a grudge against the opposition. He remarked that this was not democratic governance but tyrannical rule. Questioning Revanth Reddy’s achievements in a year of governance, he noted that none of the six guarantees promised by Congress have been implemented. Instead, he accused the government of delivering a "seventh guarantee" of constitutional violations.

Expressing anger, he accused the government of breaking the backs of unemployed youth during a protest in Ashok Nagar and detaining tribal people through midnight raids. He reiterated that Revanth's governance reminded him of the Emergency era during Indira Gandhi's rule, adding that the people of India had previously uprooted such regimes. He warned that silencing dissent by misusing the police force would not be tolerated and declared that no government relying on oppressive police action has ever survived.
