The much-anticipated film Pushpa 2 - The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar, hit theaters on December 5 amidst high expectations. Released as a pan-India project, the movie began its box office journey with a record-breaking spree, earning over ₹600 crore globally within the first three days of release.

The movie has captivated audiences with its grand action sequences and Allu Arjun's signature mass dance moves, which have been highlighted as major attractions. However, criticisms regarding the film's storytelling have emerged both at theater premises and on social media platforms. Some viewers argue that the magic of the first installment, Pushpa: The Rise, is missing in this sequel.

In Pushpa 2, while the narrative in the first film revolved around red sandalwood smuggling, the sequel appears to have shifted its focus to other elements, leading to complaints that less significant aspects were given more prominence. This shift, according to some opinions, has caused the story to lose strength before the climax.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Jagapathi Babu and Rao Ramesh in authoritative roles, Fahadh Faasil as a disgruntled police officer, and Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj reprising their roles with an undertone of vengeance. However, critics allege that none of these characters were designed to be powerful enough to stand out. The lack of tension or a strong sense of confrontation with Pushpa Raj has been identified as a drawback.

There is also feedback suggesting that the supporting characters surrounding Pushpa Raj could have been more robustly developed, which might have elevated the film to the next level. Despite these critiques, the film continues to draw audiences in large numbers.
