Ambati Rambabu’s Brother Served Show-Cause Notice Over Illegal Construction

Authorities have issued a show-cause notice to Murali Krishna, brother of YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu, and in-charge of Ponnur YSRCP, over alleged violations in the construction of Green Grace Apartments in Pattabhipuram, Guntur. Officials claim the project lacks necessary permissions from municipal, railway, fire, and pollution control authorities.

The railway department had initially granted approval for a G 4 structure, but the developers allegedly built additional floors, prompting the department to cancel its No Objection Certificate (NOC) last year. Following this, MLA Dhulipalla Narendra questioned why no action had been taken against the unauthorized construction, prompting the government to order a vigilance inquiry.

On November 18, municipal authorities sent a show-cause notice asking why previously granted approvals should not be revoked. Since Murali Krishna did not respond, officials are reportedly considering demolition, property seizure, or legal prosecution.

Meanwhile, the developer sought relief from the High Court, citing the denial of a new NOC by the railway department. The court has directed the municipal corporation to refrain from taking action for two weeks.
