Fake News Circulating About CM Meeting: Producer Dil Raju
Prominent producer and Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju expressed dissatisfaction over certain media reports regarding the meeting between Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and key members of the Telugu film industry. Following the meeting, Dil Raju criticized the spread of fake news, alleging that some outlets reported incidents that never occurred during the discussions.
“Reports are being circulated about things that didn’t even happen in the CM’s meeting,” Dil Raju stated.
He clarified that the meeting with the Chief Minister was highly constructive and devoid of any negativity, even “0.5 percent.” Dil Raju emphasized that Revanth Reddy demonstrated a positive and supportive stance toward the Telugu film industry.
Dil Raju specifically refuted claims about certain topics being discussed during the meeting. “Subjects like benefit shows and ticket pricing were not even brought up. Similarly, videos of incidents near Sandhya Theatre were not shown to us. The DGP informed us about the matter of bouncers and stressed the need for accountability in every aspect,” he said.
The Chief Minister also underscored his vision for the development of Hyderabad as a global hub for filmmaking. “Just as IT and pharma industries are critical to Hyderabad’s growth, the film industry is equally significant. The CM suggested measures to attract Hollywood productions to Hyderabad and encouraged celebrities to participate in social service activities,” Dil Raju shared.
Additionally, the CM proposed linking the Gaddar Awards ceremony with the FDC to strengthen the industry’s cultural outreach. Dil Raju revealed that Revanth Reddy shared insightful suggestions for the future of the Telugu film industry, and every attendee expressed gratitude for his guidance.
“We will focus on implementing the suggestions shared by the Chief Minister and will present a detailed proposal in the next meeting,” Dil Raju concluded.
