TDP senior leader and Tadipatri Municipal Chairman JC Prabhakar Reddy strongly criticized leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Sunday. Speaking to the media at his residence in Anantapur, he claimed that the goodwill of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is the only reason YSRCP leaders are still active today, despite facing public backlash within just five months of governance.

“Chandrababu Naidu’s goodness restrained our actions and tied our hands,” JC Prabhakar Reddy remarked. He accused the YSRCP leaders of taking retaliatory measures and harassing women in his family.

Criticizing former minister Perni Nani, JC Prabhakar Reddy alleged, “You arrested Chandrababu Naidu in the middle of the night without considering his age. Did you not hear the cries of his family members and relatives that day?” He further expressed his outrage over what he described as inhumane treatment.

He also referenced comments made by Perni Nani about Jana Sena Party chief and the present deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan, saying, “You’ve often mocked Pawan Kalyan for his multiple marriages. He let it go because he is a good man. If he decides to retaliate, do you even know where you will end up?”

JC Prabhakar Reddy also reflected on his own experiences, stating that he was imprisoned for 120 days and questioned whether his wife, daughter-in-law, and family members were nonexistent at the time. “Now you talk about respecting women? This is hypocrisy,” he added, directing his criticism at Perni Nani.

He accused Perni Nani of corruption, citing a warehouse built on 1.12 acres in Machilipatnam and alleged involvement in illegal rice sales meant for the poor. JC Prabhakar Reddy warned the former minister, saying, “If you continue to speak in the media, I will expose the truth and reveal your history.”

Referring to the cases filed against him, JC Prabhakar Reddy claimed that they were fabricated. He explained that he has been growing a beard since then as a symbol of protest and declared, “I will shave it off only on the day I am completely free of these false accusations.”
