Megastar Chiranjeevi Lauds Jeevanji Deepti for Her Paralympic Achievements
Hyderabad witnessed a heartwarming ceremony on Monday at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy, where Jeevanji Deepti was felicitated for her outstanding achievement in the Paralympics. Deepti, who earned a bronze medal in the T20 400-meter race, was praised by Megastar Chiranjeevi, the chief guest of the event. Chiranjeevi commended her exceptional talent and noted that she has received the recognition she truly deserves.
The ceremony also saw the presence of prominent figures, including national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand and Telangana Badminton Association Vice-President Chamundeshwarinath.
Hailing from Kalleda village in Parvathagiri Mandal, Warangal district, Jeevanji Deepti is the daughter of Yadagiri and Lakshmi, a couple from a financially disadvantaged background. Despite facing challenges such as intellectual disabilities and mental health struggles in her early years, Deepti displayed an unwavering passion for sports. Recognizing her potential, her parents encouraged her relentlessly. At one point, Yadagiri sold their one-acre farmland to support her aspirations.
Deepti’s perseverance and determination propelled her to become a formidable athlete, earning a bronze medal in the Paralympics and making her state and nation proud.
