Perni Nani Receives Interim Relief from Andhra Pradesh High Court
YSRCP leader and former minister Perni Nani has been granted interim relief by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in connection with a case involving missing ration rice from a godown. The Machilipatnam Taluka Police registered a case against Perni Nani, naming him as Accused No. 6 (A6) in the FIR.
Shortly after the case was registered, Perni Nani approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court, filing a lunch motion petition seeking protection from arrest. He requested that the court direct the police not to arrest him while the case is under investigation.
The High Court heard his petition and directed the police to file a counter-affidavit in response. It also postponed further proceedings in the case to the following Monday. Until then, the court instructed the police not to take any hasty action against Perni Nani, offering him temporary relief.
