This legal issue arose amidst ongoing family disputes involving Mohan Babu. Recently, tensions within the actor's family became public, with Mohan Babu and his son Manchu Vishnu on one side and his other son, Manchu Manoj, on the other, filing cases against each other. During this period, when media representatives visited Mohan Babu’s residence in Jal Palli, he allegedly attacked a journalist, leading to widespread condemnation from various journalist associations and public figures.

Following the incident, police registered a case against Mohan Babu. Subsequently, he filed a bail petition in the Telangana High Court, which was denied. As a result, he has now moved the Supreme Court, seeking bail. Whether the apex court will provide relief remains to be seen.
