In a heated response to an incident at the World Telugu Federation Conference, Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy expressed strong criticism after an anchor mistakenly mentioned the Chief Minister’s name. The Congress leader alleged that there might be a conspiracy behind the incident. Speaking to the media today, Kiran Kumar Reddy said, “Who organized the Telugu Mahasabha? Don’t they have common sense? Doesn’t the anchor have enough education to know who the Chief Ministers of the Telugu states are?” He further questioned how an anchor could fail to correctly announce the Chief Minister's name at such an important event.

Highlighting the importance of accuracy in public events, Kiran Kumar Reddy added, “We refer to notes even for small matters when speaking. Despite being an MP, I use notes while addressing gatherings. How could someone invite a Chief Minister without knowing his name?” He stated that the incident seemed suspicious, hinting at a deliberate act.

During the World Telugu Federation Conference, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attended as the chief guest. While inviting him to speak, an anchor mistakenly addressed him as "our beloved leader, Honorable Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Kiran Kumar..." before correcting himself upon being prompted by someone nearby. The anchor quickly rectified the error, stating, “Apologies, our beloved leader, Honorable Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Revanth Reddy.” However, the initial mistake sparked outrage from Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, who found the error unacceptable and raised concerns over its intent.
