Former YSRCP MP Nandigam Suresh Surrenders in Amaravati Protest Case

Former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP Nandigam Suresh continues to face multiple legal troubles. Suresh, who was imprisoned for 145 days in a case filed by a woman named Mariyamma from Velagapudi, was recently released on bail due to health issues. However, he has now surrendered before the Sattenapalli court in connection with another case.
The case pertains to allegations of inappropriate behavior towards women during the Amaravati protests in 2020. A woman named Mahalakshmi had lodged a complaint with the police, accusing Nandigam Suresh of misconduct. Based on her complaint, the police registered a case against Suresh, Lella Appireddy, and several others. However, no arrests were made at the time.
The case has gained momentum after the new coalition government came to power. In this context, Nandigam Suresh has now surrendered in court. Meanwhile, his legal team has filed an anticipatory bail petition seeking pre-arrest bail.
