"How Will You Handle Competition If Tesla Enters India?" Anand Mahindra Responds

Indian industrialist Anand Mahindra responded to a question from a social media user about how Mahindra & Mahindra would handle competition if Tesla enters the Indian market. His response gained attention, especially as Tesla, led by Elon Musk, has signaled its potential entry into India.

A social media user posed the question about competition, to which Anand Mahindra recalled similar concerns raised after India's 1991 economic reforms. He noted that when companies like Tata and Suzuki entered the market, Mahindra & Mahindra faced significant competition but managed to survive and thrive. He attributed this resilience to the trust in Mahindra's products.

Mahindra further stated that even if Tesla enters the market, his company will continue to move forward. He emphasized that Indian consumers' support and encouragement help Mahindra & Mahindra adapt to competition.

Additionally, he shared an old post from 2018, in which he had extended support to Elon Musk when Tesla was facing difficulties. Anand Mahindra reaffirmed that just as he had supported Musk then, his stance remains unchanged even now.
