Not Entering Politics Earlier Was My First Defeat: Kamal Haasan's Interesting Remarks

Renowned Tamil actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) party founder Kamal Haasan stated that his first defeat was stepping back from politics two decades ago. He expressed that if he had entered politics at that time, he would have been in a better position today.

Reflecting on his eight-year political journey, Kamal Haasan remarked, “I have realized that fans and voters are different.” He reaffirmed that his party would continue serving the state as long as even a single voter remained.

Highlighting the unifying power of Tamil, he said, “Tamil is the language that unites all the people of this state.” He credited the Tamil people for his confidence and determination to move forward. Kamal Haasan further emphasized the strength of the Tamil language, stating, “Tamil stands tall like the sky, and no one can bring it down.”

He also announced that, for the first time, the voice of his party would be heard in Parliament this year.
