YSRCP Being Denied Opposition Status Due to Political Fear: Harsha Kumar
Former Member of Parliament Harsha Kumar has alleged that the Andhra Pradesh government is deliberately denying opposition status to the YSRCP due to fear of its leader, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Speaking to the media in Rajahmundry, he claimed that the ruling coalition is hesitant to grant the status despite precedents set in other cases.

Harsha Kumar pointed out that in the past, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was granted opposition status in Delhi despite winning only three seats. He argued that the decision to recognize YSRCP as the official opposition rests entirely with the government.

He also criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu over the handling of the Group-2 examination issue. He accused the chief minister of deceiving aspirants and releasing an alleged phone recording to create a distraction. Harsha Kumar asserted that the affected candidates would teach the government a lesson in the upcoming Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections.

Furthermore, he claimed that during the recent Assembly sessions, the state government made the Governor present false statements.
