Posani Case: Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Bhargava Reddy File for Pre-Arrest Bail
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and his son, Sajjala Bhargava Reddy, have filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking anticipatory bail. The petition comes in the wake of actor Posani Krishna Murali’s statement to the police, which reportedly links them to the controversial remarks he made against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, his son Nara Lokesh, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and their family members.

Posani Krishna Murali was recently arrested for making inappropriate comments about these political figures. During police interrogation, he allegedly admitted to his actions and stated that he had made the remarks based on a script provided by Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Sajjala Bhargava Reddy. Posani further claimed that he had used offensive language and incited hatred in press conferences and on social media under their direction.

Fearing possible arrest based on Posani’s statement, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Bhargava Reddy moved the High Court for anticipatory bail. They cited concerns over being arrested in a case registered in Obulavaripalle, Annamayya district.

In their petition, they asserted their innocence, claiming that they were being falsely implicated in the case. They stated that while Posani had mentioned their names in his statement, there was no concrete evidence to prove their involvement. They alleged that the case was politically motivated and intended to harass them.

The petition also emphasized that both leaders have permanent residences in Guntur and Pulivendula, making any possibility of them fleeing the investigation unlikely. They assured the court of their willingness to cooperate with the probe and requested that they be granted anticipatory bail to prevent their arrest.
