Nayanthara’s Thriller Movie Skips Theatrical Release, Premiering Directly on OTT

Nayanthara’s immense popularity in Tamil cinema needs no special introduction. Whenever she starts a new project, fans eagerly anticipate its theatrical release. However, her latest film, Test, has taken a different route and will not have a theatrical release. Instead, the film’s team has opted for a direct OTT release.
As a result, Test is now set to reach audiences through an online streaming platform. Netflix has acquired the digital rights to the film and has officially announced that it will begin streaming on April 4. The announcement was made along with an official poster.
Directed by Sashikanth, Test is a sports drama featuring Nayanthara in a significant role, alongside Madhavan and Siddharth in key roles. Meera Jasmine also appears in a special role. The story unfolds at the Chennai Cricket Stadium, where the Indian Test cricket team is playing a crucial match. The plot revolves around three individuals who visit the stadium to watch the match but unexpectedly find themselves entangled in a series of challenges. How they navigate these difficulties forms the core of the narrative.
With the film now heading straight to OTT, audiences are keen to see how Test resonates with viewers upon its release.
