Champions Trophy Final on Sunday: Sunil Gavaskar’s Recommendations
The Champions Trophy final between India and New Zealand is set to take place in Dubai on Sunday. Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has suggested that no changes are needed in India's playing XI for the crucial match.

Speaking on the team's strategy, Gavaskar noted that India played with four spinners in the last two matches and recommended maintaining the same team composition for the final. He emphasized that if the Indian team improves in certain key areas, they will be unbeatable in the final.

Gavaskar pointed out that India's opening batters have not delivered a strong start so far, and he expects them to put in a solid performance in the final. He stressed the importance of taking early wickets with the new ball, stating that dismissing at least two to three batters in the initial overs would be beneficial. While India has been successful in controlling runs during the middle overs, Gavaskar highlighted that taking wickets during this phase is crucial to maintaining pressure on the opposition.

He also praised the inclusion of Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav in the squad, calling it a wise decision. He lauded their ability to bowl dot balls in limited-overs cricket, emphasizing that their performances have been impressive. Gavaskar further noted that the Dubai pitch has been offering good assistance to the bowlers.
