If Action Is Not Taken Against TDP Leader Ramesh Reddy Within 48 Hours, I Will Resign: MLA Kolikapudi
Tiruvuru MLA Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao issued an ultimatum to the Telugu Desam Party leadership, stating that he would resign from his MLA position if action is not taken within 48 hours against party leader Alavala Ramesh Reddy, who is facing allegations of sexually harassing a tribal woman.

Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao made this declaration following a protest held on Thursday by a group of tribal women in front of his office. The protestors demanded action against former Tiruvuru Agricultural Market Committee (AMC) Chairman Alavala Ramesh Reddy, alleging that he had made obscene remarks to a tribal woman over the phone.

Speaking to the media during the protest, Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao said, “Ramesh Reddy’s phone conversation with the tribal woman is extremely disgusting. There is nothing wrong in completely burying such people.” He further stated, “If I come across him at any event I attend, I will beat him until the slipper breaks.”

Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao said that he had submitted complaints against Alavala Ramesh Reddy to Member of Parliament Kesineni Sivanath, the party’s state and district presidents, and the TDP in-charge for Tiruvuru. He questioned why no action had been taken even after ten days had passed since the complaint was made.

He also demanded an explanation from the party leadership, questioning, “Why has there been no response from the party leadership regarding a leader who behaved obscenely with a tribal woman simply because she asked for a loan?”
