Amaravati Development Gets ₹4,200 Crore Boost from Centre

The Central Government has released ₹4,200 crore for the development of Amaravati, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. The funding was announced as part of a collaborative initiative supported by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
Following the formation of the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, focused attention has been directed towards the development of both the state and Amaravati. In pursuit of central funding, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made several visits to Delhi, where he met with Union Ministers to present his appeals.
In response to these efforts, the Centre has now sanctioned funds for Amaravati’s development. Additionally, the Central Government has extended support to other major infrastructure projects, including the Polavaram project and the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, with several thousands of crores already disbursed.
Members of Parliament representing the coalition parties stated that these funds have been secured due to the persistent efforts of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. They expressed optimism that the newly released funds would significantly accelerate the development of Andhra Pradesh.
