Jayasudha Appointed as Jury Chairperson for Gaddar Telangana Film Awards

Veteran actress and former Member of the Legislative Assembly Jayasudha has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Jury Committee for the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards. A fifteen-member jury committee has been constituted for the selection process.

Jayasudha recently met with Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman and noted film producer Dil Raju, along with FDC Managing Director Harish. During the meeting, Dil Raju emphasized the importance of reviewing the nominations impartially and called for a smooth and transparent selection process. He remarked that even during the era of the unified Andhra Pradesh state, such a strong response was not seen for film awards.

According to officials, the jury will begin reviewing the submitted nominations on April 21. A total of 1,248 nominations have been received across all categories for the Telangana Film Awards. Of these, 1,172 are in individual categories, while 76 entries span feature films, children’s films, documentaries, film criticism, books, and other segments.
