Police have taken Bhumana Abhinay Reddy, son of YSR Congress Party leader and former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, into custody. The incident occurred when Abhinay Reddy attempted to enter the TTD cattle shelter (Gosala).

Speaking on the matter, Bhumana Abhinay Reddy said, “We came to the Gosala accepting a challenge issued by the Telugu Desam Party. But the TDP misused its power to obstruct us.” He questioned the deployment of police to stop them after they accepted a public challenge. “You ask us to come, and when we do, you stop us. Is this your culture?” he said, expressing strong displeasure.

Meanwhile, tensions escalated in Tirupati near the residence of Bhumana Karunakar Reddy. As he prepared to go to the Gosala along with MP Gurumoorthy and a large number of YSR Congress Party workers, police intervened and stopped them. Authorities stated that only individuals with licensed weapons (gunmen) would be allowed to go to the Gosala and denied permission for followers to accompany them. Police urged the group not to disturb law and order. During the standoff, YSR Congress Party supporters engaged in a heated verbal exchange with the police.
