Patidar Overtakes Sachin, Joins Elite IPL Run-Scorers List

In Friday's match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar etched a rare achievement to his name. He surpassed legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar to set a notable record.
Rajat Patidar became the second-fastest player to score 1,000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL), reaching the milestone in just 30 innings. In doing so, he overtook both Sachin Tendulkar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who had previously accomplished this feat in 31 innings each.
At the top of this list stands Gujarat Titans (GT) player Sai Sudharsan, who achieved the milestone in just 25 innings. Following Sachin Tendulkar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, Mumbai Indians’ Tilak Varma is currently in fourth place, having reached 1,000 runs in 33 innings.
Rajat Patidar, who is leading RCB as captain this season, has scored 209 runs in seven matches so far, guiding the team from the front. As of now, RCB has played seven matches in the season, securing four wins and standing in fourth position on the points table.
