Malayalam Actor Granted Bail Within Hours of Arrest

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, who was recently arrested in connection with a drug case, received significant relief after a local court granted him bail within hours of his detention. Following the court’s decision, the police released him.

The development came amid recent serious allegations made by actress Vinci against Shine Tom Chacko. Vinci had accused him of behaving inappropriately under the influence of drugs, a claim that sparked widespread attention.

On April 16, as part of an investigation into a drug-related case, police conducted a raid at the Star Hotel in Kaloor, Kochi. They were attempting to apprehend a drug case suspect. During the operation, Shine Tom Chacko was also found in the same hotel room along with the suspect.

Upon receiving information about the police raid, Shine Tom Chacko attempted to flee by jumping out of the hotel window. His escape attempt was captured on the hotel's CCTV cameras. Subsequently, police apprehended him and initiated an interrogation.

During questioning, Shine Tom Chacko reportedly admitted to being acquainted with the suspect. Based on this admission and his presence at the scene, police arrested him and presented him before the court. However, the court promptly granted him bail, resulting in his release shortly thereafter.

Meanwhile, while Shine Tom Chacko was in police custody, authorities collected his samples and sent them to a forensic laboratory for drug testing. The results of these tests are awaited and will determine whether he had consumed drugs.
