Kadambari Case Twist: PSR Arrested, Raghurama Questions Delay in Probe

A significant development has emerged in the sensational Kadambari Jethwani case, which drew widespread attention during the previous YSR Congress Party administration in Andhra Pradesh. PSR Anjaneyulu, a senior Indian Police Service officer who then served as Intelligence Chief, was arrested today in Hyderabad by the Andhra Pradesh police. He is reportedly being transferred to Vijayawada.
Responding to the arrest, Andhra Pradesh Assembly Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnam Raju expressed satisfaction, stating, “I felt happy after watching the news on TV this morning.” Raghurama Krishnam Raju alleged that PSR Anjaneyulu was involved in several unethical activities during the tenure of the Jaganmohan Reddy-led government as the Intelligence Chief.
“Whenever Jagan beckoned, this man would rush to him,” Raghurama Krishnam Raju said in strong criticism.
He further alleged that PSR Anjaneyulu played a central role not only in the Kadambari Jethwani case but also in the assault case filed by Raghurama Krishnam Raju himself. He recalled that PSR Anjaneyulu was listed as Accused No. 2 (A2) in the assault case filed against those who attacked him.
He added that several people have called him following the arrest to inquire about the progress of his case. Raghurama Krishnam Raju claimed that another Indian Police Service officer, PV Sunil Kumar, was also involved in the conspiracy behind the assault against him. He alleged that both officers had jointly strategized the attack.
Raghurama Krishnam Raju questioned whether PV Sunil Kumar, who is also facing allegations in the same case, would be arrested like PSR Anjaneyulu. He expressed dissatisfaction that, until now, PV Sunil Kumar had not even been summoned for questioning.
He described the pace of the investigation into his case as extremely slow—"moving at the speed of a road roller"—but expressed confidence that once the investigation picks up pace, it would not stop.
Raghurama Krishnam Raju also mentioned that a man named Sunil Naik, who filed a suo motu case against him, has been refusing to come from Bihar to testify. He added that a doctor accused of tampering with medical reports in his case is already under investigation. He voiced hope that the arrest of PSR Anjaneyulu would expedite the investigation into his own case.
