A disturbing incident that tarnishes the sanctity of the teacher-student relationship has come to light in Andhra Pradesh. An engineering student, enraged over her mobile phone being confiscated, physically assaulted a lecturer with a slipper. The incident occurred recently at Raghu Engineering College, located near Dakammari on the Visakhapatnam-Vizianagaram National Highway. A video of the episode has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism.
According to the available details, the student in question is in her second year of engineering at the institution. While she was using her mobile phone in the classroom or on the college campus, a lecturer noticed and, as per institutional rules, seized the device. This act reportedly triggered the student's fury. She began verbally abusing the lecturer using offensive language.
The situation escalated rapidly when the student removed her slipper and attacked the lecturer in full view of others, shocking onlookers. Fellow students present at the scene immediately tried to intervene and stop the attack. Despite their efforts, the student persisted in her aggression towards the lecturer.
