Producer Praveen Refutes Pravasthi’s Allegations About Song and Costume Selection

Praveen Kadiala, head of Gnapika Entertainments and producer of a television show, has responded to recent allegations made by emerging singer Pravasthi. Clarifying the matter in detail, Praveen Kadiala released a video message addressing the accusations.
In his statement, Praveen Kadiala emphasized that costume selection for the show’s participants is based solely on the song chosen and never on personal characteristics. “Costumes are designed in alignment with the selected song. The selection is entirely dependent on the song itself. We have never designed costumes based on an individual’s physique,” he stated.
Responding to Pravasthi’s claim that a costume designer allegedly told her, “No dress suits your body,” Praveen Kadiala said, “Such a remark is indeed wrong. However, it should have been immediately brought to my attention or to the show director. We have never instructed anyone specifically on what to wear or not to wear.”
Addressing Pravasthi’s allegation that she was given songs she could not perform while preferred songs were allocated to contestants favoured by the show’s team, Praveen Kadiala offered a detailed explanation of the selection process. He stated that the creative team selects four types of songs ahead of each schedule and sends the details to the contestants. “We check which songs the channel holds rights to and ask contestants to choose six songs from those. Only after they complete rehearsals and confirm readiness do we begin shooting,” he explained.
Speaking about the show’s rules, he added, “The agreement document you signed clearly mentions that we respect the judgement process. It would have been helpful if you had read it in full.”
Concluding his message, Praveen Kadiala extended his best wishes to Pravasthi, stating, “I hope you rise to greater heights in life, setting aside all these misunderstandings.”
