Female Student Suspended for Assaulting Female Lecturer with Footwear

A disturbing incident in which a female student physically hitting a college lecturer has sparked widespread attention across the Telugu-speaking states. The altercation reportedly began after the lecturer confiscated the student's mobile phone, prompting the student to verbally abuse and then hit the lecturer with a shoe.
In response to the incident, Raghu Educational Institutions Chairman Raghu convened a meeting with the college faculty to discuss the matter.
The college administration has now issued an official statement regarding the incident. According to the statement, an internal inquiry was conducted into the attack on the lecturer. The administration confirmed that a second-year ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) student named Venkatalakshmi was suspended from the college for physically confronting and verbally abusing a female faculty member.
The administration also revealed that the lecturer involved has resigned from her position, reportedly due to mental distress caused by the attack.
