Virat, Anushka Seeking Simpler Life in London, Say Sources

Speculation has been circulating for some time that Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and renowned Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma are considering relocating their residence to London. Adding weight to these rumors, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit's husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, has made notable remarks on the matter.

In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, Dr. Shriram Nene recalled a past conversation with Anushka Sharma. “I have great respect for Virat. We’ve met several times and he is a genuinely good person. During a conversation with Anushka, I learned something interesting—they are thinking about moving to London. The reason, as she expressed, is that here in India they are unable to enjoy their success and fame freely,” said Dr. Nene.

He further elaborated on the challenges celebrities face due to their public stature. “Anything they do becomes big news. As a result, they almost end up in isolation. People like me can blend in easily, but for them, it becomes a challenge. Wherever they go, people ask for selfies. This affects their personal time. Virat and Anushka are very good individuals. They simply wish to raise their children in a normal environment,” Dr. Nene explained.

These sentiments were recently echoed by Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, who confirmed in an interview that Virat is indeed considering moving to London with his wife and children. He stated there is a strong possibility that the family will soon leave India.

Since the birth of their second child, Akaay, in February 2024, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have reportedly been spending most of their time in London, further fueling the ongoing speculation.
