Revanth Reddy Strongly Reacts to KCR’s Speech in Elkathurthy

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has strongly reacted to the speech delivered by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at the party’s Rajatotsava Sabha held in Elkathurthy. Revanth Reddy alleged that K. Chandrashekar Rao’s address was filled with resentment and lacked clarity.
He accused K. Chandrashekar Rao of depleting the state treasury and now attempting to shift the blame onto the Congress government. Revanth Reddy claimed that the public no longer trusts the BRS and that K. Chandrashekar Rao’s speech reflected his growing insecurity.
Responding to media speculation about a rift between himself and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Revanth Reddy dismissed the rumours, stating there was no need to elaborate on his personal association with Rahul Gandhi.
He further criticised K. Chandrashekar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that both leaders conveniently change their stances according to political necessity. Revanth Reddy opined that the country currently needs leadership akin to that of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
In another development, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with senior party leader and former minister Jana Reddy. According to sources, several key issues were discussed during the meeting. Revanth Reddy stated that there is a proposal to form a peace committee to facilitate talks with Maoist groups in the state. He added that further discussions on this matter within the party would be led by Jana Reddy and another senior leader, K. Keshava Rao.
Addressing the Congress legislators, Revanth Reddy issued a warning, urging them to engage actively with the public. He emphasised that government welfare schemes will only reach the people if MLAs maintain grassroots contact. He assured them that those who remain patient within the party would eventually be rewarded with positions. However, he cautioned that speaking recklessly could harm the party leadership itself.
