‘Baahubali’ Returns to Theatres This October, Announces Producer Shobu Yarlagadda

The pan-Indian film Baahubali, which set unprecedented records in Indian cinematic history, is set to return to theatres this October. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli and starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in lead roles, the epic saga’s second installment, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, completes eight years since its release.
Marking the film’s eighth anniversary, the team behind Baahubali shared a special announcement with fans. Producer Shobu Yarlagadda officially declared that the film would be re-released both in India and internationally this October.
Shobu Yarlagadda, who produced the Baahubali series under the Arka Media Works banner, made the announcement on April 28 via social media. He stated, “On this special day, I’m delighted to share that we are planning to re-release Baahubali this October in India and globally. It’s not just a re-release—it will be a celebratory year for our beloved fans! Expect nostalgic moments, new highlights, and some fantastic surprises,” he posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was released worldwide on April 28, 2017, with a production budget of approximately ₹250 crore. It grossed over ₹1,800 crore globally, setting an all-time box office record. It became the first Indian film to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark. In addition to its massive commercial success, the film was critically acclaimed and received numerous national and international awards. Now, audiences will once again have the opportunity to experience this cinematic spectacle on the big screen.
