With God's Grace, I Wish Her Efforts Succeed: Rajinikanth

Superstar Rajinikanth expressed concern that today’s youth are blindly imitating Western lifestyles while forgetting India’s rich cultural heritage. He made these remarks while participating in a cultural event organized by his wife Latha Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth stated, “Not just the youth, even some elders are failing to understand the greatness and legacy of our country.” He praised Latha Rajinikanth’s initiative, saying she has undertaken a commendable effort to raise awareness about the richness of Indian culture. “I sincerely hope, with God’s blessings, that her initiative will succeed,” said Rajinikanth.

Highlighting the generational disconnect, Rajinikanth noted that many people, especially in this mobile era, are unaware of India’s traditional values. He expressed regret that instead of understanding the country’s glorious heritage, many are turning toward Western culture. He advised against forgetting one’s roots.

Rajinikanth further observed that even foreigners, unable to find peace and happiness in their own cultures, are looking toward India. He emphasized that practices such as yoga and meditation from India are helping them attain mental tranquility.

On the cinematic front, Rajinikanth is currently acting in the film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Set against the backdrop of gold smuggling, the action film features prominent actors including Akkineni Nagarjuna, Upendra, and Shruti Haasan in key roles. The movie is scheduled for release on August 14.
