The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to issue holistic cards for students studying in government schools. These cards will include detailed information such as the student’s height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), blood group, and other critical details. Updates will be recorded every six months. The new holistic cards are an upgraded version of the progress cards currently in use. Each card will feature a QR code, allowing authorities to assess student progress and provide targeted support to enhance their development.

Additionally, it has been reported that the state government will implement a rating system for government schools. Based on factors like infrastructure, quality of education, and facilities available to students, schools will be rated from 1 to 5 stars. This system aims to help identify schools with lower ratings, enabling focused efforts to improve their standards.

Officials plan to complete this initiative by December 7 and discuss the findings during a Parent-Teacher Mega Meeting. Preparations for this meeting are in full swing, with invitations already being sent to parents via both printed cards and mobile messages.
