The owner of Sandhya Theatre, Renuka Devi, has filed a petition in the Telangana High Court following a tragic incident during the premiere show of Pushpa-2 at Sandhya Theatre, located at RTC Cross Roads, Hyderabad. The incident involved a stampede, resulting in the death of a woman named Revathi.

Reports suggest that the mishap occurred when fans rushed to see actor Allu Arjun upon his arrival at the theatre. Following a complaint from Revathi's family, the police registered a case regarding the incident, prompting the theatre owner to approach the court.

In her petition, Renuka Devi stated that her theatre was not responsible for the unfortunate death. She clarified that the government had granted permission for premieres and benefit shows and asserted that her theatre did not organize Pushpa-2 premiere shows. According to her, film distributors managed the screenings directly.

Despite these clarifications, she mentioned that the theatre management had arranged for adequate security measures. However, a police case was still filed against her under various legal sections, which she termed unjust and unwarranted.
