Actor Vijay Launches New Political Party Aiming to Fight Corruption
Another political party has emerged in the land of Tamil Nadu. Prominent film actor Vijay has stepped into active politics by establishing a new political party named Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Speaking on this occasion, Vijay mentioned that the TVK party will not contest in this year's Lok Sabha elections and will not extend support to any party. He stated their intention to compete in the 2026 Assembly elections.
Vijay expressed concern over the prevailing corruption in Tamil Nadu and stated that eradicating corruption is their main goal. He announced that the party's flag and agenda would be unveiled soon. Vijay also mentioned that he would dedicate his full time to political service after completing his current film projects, considering his entry into public service as a way to express gratitude to the Tamil people who have made him what he is today.
Vijay, who has an image comparable to Rajinikanth in the Tamil film industry, has acted in 68 movies so far. There has been speculation about Vijay launching a political party for the last decade. Vijay has been involved in various social service activities through his charity.
