Woman Donates ₹1 Crore for Amaravati’s Development, Honored by CM Chandrababu

The Andhra Pradesh government, under the leadership of the TDP coalition, has resumed work on the capital city project, Amaravati. Efforts are being made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's government to secure maximum funds from the central government. Simultaneously, the state is accepting donations to support the capital's development. In a remarkable gesture, P. Vijayalakshmi, a resident of Indupalli village, Unguturu Mandal, Krishna District, donated ₹1 crore for Amaravati's construction. She handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister on Tuesday at the Secretariat.

Vijayalakshmi stated that the contribution was made in fulfillment of her late mother Koganti Indira Devi’s wish to support the development of Amaravati. She revealed that the funds were raised by selling a small piece of land owned by her family in Hyderabad. She expressed her desire to be part of Amaravati's development, symbolizing her commitment to the state's growth.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu lauded Vijayalakshmi’s generous act and described it as a significant contribution to Amaravati’s construction. He praised her sacrifice and assured that her gesture would be remembered as a notable example of selflessness.
