Kodali Nani's Followers Arrested; Key Aide Kali Absconding

In a series of setbacks for YSRCP leader and former minister Kodali Nani, police have arrested several of his followers in connection with a violent attack that occurred in December 2022. The attack targeted a textile shop owned by former TDP MLA Ravi Venkateswara Rao in Gudivada, where petrol packets were allegedly used to create havoc.

The Gudivada One Town police recently arrested nine of Kodali Nani's associates and transferred them to the Pedaparupudi police station. Cases have been registered against the accused under sections 143, 144, 145, 188, 427, 506, and read with section 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Meanwhile, Kodali Nani's key aide, identified as Kali, remains absconding. Police investigations have revealed that Kali has fled to Assam. A special task force has been formed to track him down and bring him into custody.
