TTD Launches Tirumala Vision-2047 for Sustainable Development

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has launched the "Tirumala Vision-2047" initiative, aligning with the "Swarna Andhra Vision-2047" to ensure sustainable development in Tirumala. The project focuses on heritage conservation, environmental management, and modern urban planning, inviting proposals from renowned agencies through a Request for Proposal (RFP).

During a recent board meeting, TTD resolved to implement a strategic development plan that balances traditional values with modern infrastructure. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the need to preserve Tirumala's spiritual sanctity while enhancing facilities for devotees. He urged for a forward-looking development model respecting the temple town's cultural heritage.

Key objectives of Tirumala Vision-2047 include:

  • Adopting modern urban planning while preserving Tirumala's sanctity.
  • Emphasizing superior infrastructure, heritage conservation, and environmental responsibility.
  • Establishing Tirumala as a global role model for integrated development.
  • Seeking expert agencies specializing in urban planning, architecture, engineering, heritage conservation, and environmental management.

The TTD aims to finalize long-term development strategies, considering current and future needs through zonal development plans. Strategic measures will enhance facilities while safeguarding Tirumala’s spiritual and cultural essence.

The TTD has set a three-week deadline for interested agencies to submit proposals. It underscored the necessity of prior experience in large-scale urban planning and infrastructure projects.

The initiative envisions creating a sustainable, heritage-driven development framework, ensuring Tirumala’s sanctity for future generations.
