Telangana Former Minister Srinivas Goud to Face Action: TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu
TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu condemned remarks made by former Telangana minister and BRS leader Srinivas Goud, alleging they tarnished the reputation of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). B.R. Naidu announced that action would be taken against Srinivas Goud, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward anyone attempting to undermine the sanctity of Tirumala. He stated that this decision was taken during the first meeting of the newly formed TTD governing council. He warned that political comments concerning Tirumala would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
On the previous morning, Srinivas Goud visited the Tirumala temple and later criticized the TTD while speaking to the media. He alleged that TTD was discriminating against Telangana citizens and elected representatives. Srinivas Goud asserted that everyone is equal before God and that such discrimination is unacceptable.
He further claimed that after the formation of Telangana, Andhra natives continued to dominate business and official positions. He warned that if Telangana people faced discrimination, Andhra residents might encounter difficulties in Telangana in the future.
Reacting strongly to these remarks, B.R. Naidu announced that action against Srinivas Goud had been ordered, stressing the importance of preserving the sanctity of the sacred Tirumala hill.
