Still ascertaining Subba Rao’s role in Secunderabad station violence: Palnadu SP
Narasaraopet, June 20: Palnadu District SP Y Ravi Sankar Reddy on Monday said that they are still ascertaining the role of Sai Defence Academy director A. Subba Rao in violence erupted at Secunderabad railway station.
Talking to reporters after inspecting railway station here, he stated that security tightened at all railway stations across the district suspecting attacks from Army job seekers opposing new Agnipath Scheme. He made an appeal to job aspirants not to participate in protests. “If cases registered against them then they will lose the opportunity to join the Army,” he said.
To a question, the SP mentioned that the Telangana police did not approach them seeking custody of Subba Rao. He made it clear that Rao was not taken into police custody. “No police official arrived from Uttar Pradesh to interrogate Subba Rao,” he said and added that police will take him into custody if evidence found against him.
