Charles Sturt University Study Centres introduces two new courses to its programme portfolio for the March 2021 intake

  • Indian students can now study a Masters of Project Management and Leadership, as well as a Diploma of Information Technology, which acts as a pathway into the Bachelor of IT programme at the university
Hyderabad, January 2021: Amid the ongoing application procedure for the new year, Charles Sturt University Study Centres announces the launch of two new courses for the March 2021 intake. Indian students planning to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in IT who need a pathway programme can opt for the new the Diploma of Information Technology (IT), whilst students wishing to expand their already technical careers can choose to study the new Masters of Project Management and Leadership. In partnership with Study Group, who operate the Study Centres on behalf of the university under CRICOS Provider Code: 00005F, riding high on the success of its IT education and considering the emerging areas in this industry, the Study Centres have introduced the two new courses to continue the growth and expansion of its IT offering.

The long-awaited Masters of Project Management and Leadership has been developed based on market feedback, with demand high for a leadership course, which considers project management for engineering, IT and other technical industries. During this two-year programme, students will get to study 12 management and leadership subjects. Every topic has been carefully curated to prepare them to successfully design and deliver complete project solutions, and manage individuals and teams.

The course combines soft skills in people management, leadership, and communication along with technical skills in project management, such as financial management, quality control and information technology.

Meanwhile, the Diploma of Information Technology has been designed to provide a pathway into year two of the Bachelor of Information Technology for students who did not meet the academic and English language criteria of the Bachelor program. The diploma course comprises six first-year Bachelor of IT subjects and a newly developed learning and development subject entitled ‘Learning for Success’. This subject is an introduction to fundamental study skills and aims to develop a critical understanding of, and confidence in, the application of the English language to prepare international students for the rigors of study at the higher education level in Australia.

Upon successful completion of the Diploma of IT, students will graduate with a broad understanding of the principles of IT, developing specialist skills needed for a career in IT. They will be eligible to go onto year two of the Bachelor of IT with up to six subject credits, giving them the ability to graduate with their peers within three years.

Both the Master of Project Management and Leadership, along with the Diploma of Information Technology will be available for study at Charles Sturt University Study Centres in Melbourne and Sydney.
