MG Motor inaugurates multiple community EV chargers in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, December 05th, 2022: MG Motor India installed multiple community EV chargers across Hyderabad, as a part of its MG Charge initiative. The chargers were installed in three communities across the city – NCC Urban One, Rainbow Vistas, and My Home Jewel. Shri T Prakash Goud, Shri Madhavaram Krishna Rao, and Shri Arekapaudi Gandhi – MLAs from the respective localities graced their presence in the inauguration.
Aimed at catering to the EV charging needs of the residents and visitors of these residential communities, the AC charging stations will operate 24x7, free of cost. The complexes receiving the EV charger installation will also be provided with end-to-end guidance, support, and coordination for the installation process, saving costs, etc. by MG and its partners.
MG Charge initiative was started with a vision to provide the required impetus for EV adoption across the country by strengthening the community charger infrastructure in India. As a part of the initiative, the automaker provides a 6-way charging eco-system with a plug-and-charge cable onboard, an AC fast-charger (installed at the customer's home/office), DC superfast chargers at MG dealerships, public charging network, charge-on-the-go with RSA (Roadside Assistance) and community charger. MG has also partnered with Jio-Bp and BPCL to encourage EV adoption amongst the masses by widening the scope for intercity travel through the installation of EV chargers across highways and cities.
