Former BRS MLA Patnam Narendar Reddy, who was arrested in connection with the attack on government officials in Lagacharla village of Kodangal constituency, has been released from jail. BRS leaders and party workers accorded him a grand welcome upon his release.

Last month, farmers protested against district officials, including the district collector, who visited Lagacharla village for a public opinion survey. The government took the incident seriously, leading to the arrest of Patnam Narendar Reddy and several farmers. They were remanded to judicial custody by the court.

The Nampally Special Court recently granted bail to Patnam Narendar Reddy and the farmers involved in the incident. Following the court's decision, they were released from custody on Thursday.

Speaking to the media after his release, Patnam Narendar Reddy alleged that the case was a result of political conspiracy. He accused Revanth Reddy's brother, Tirupati Reddy, of orchestrating the plot against him.
